Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NVamos ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our group trip planning service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Your email address, display name, and (optionally) profile photo. If you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive the basic profile fields they share with us.
- Trip content. Trips, polls, itineraries, lodging, transportation, messages, and other content you or your co-travelers create within the Service.
- Usage and device data. Standard request metadata such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps. Used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Feedback submissions. When you use the in-app Feedback form, we collect the message you write and contextual metadata (current page URL, browser, app version, your user ID and email). If you choose to attach a screenshot, we capture and store the image you opted to share.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for authentication and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To enable collaboration features (sharing trips, polls, and announcements with people you invite).
- To respond to support requests and to triage bug reports and feature suggestions you submit.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your trip content to train machine-learning models.
3. Sharing of Information
- With other trip members.Content you add to a trip is visible to that trip’s confirmed members. Your profile (name, photo) is visible to people you share trips with.
- With service providers. We use trusted vendors to host and operate the Service (for example, our cloud database, file storage, transactional email, and error-monitoring providers). These providers process data on our behalf under contract.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NVamos, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If NVamos is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and trip data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete a trip or your account at any time; once deleted, associated content is removed from active systems within a reasonable period and may persist briefly in routine backups before expiring. Feedback submissions and associated screenshots are retained as long as needed to triage and resolve the underlying report.
5. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for stored data, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly inside the app (editing your profile, deleting trips, deleting your account). For other requests, contact us using the details in the “Contact” section below.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international data transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, an in-app message). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
